Richie Wellens’ team look to bounce back from Tuesday night’s defeat at AFC Wimbledon as they face off against a struggling Harrogate Town side in League Two on Saturday.

Surprised

The defeat at Plough Lane was Orient’s second league defeat of the season. Wimbledon are on a good run of form at the moment, but the meek nature of Orient’s defeat will have surprised many onlookers.

The O’s remain top of League Two, three points above second-placed Stevenage Town, but without the game in hand that had looked so precious before Tuesday night’s result.

While the Orient fans will have been disappointed with the team’s defeat at Plough Lane, there was reason to celebrate. Leyton Orient Head Coach, Richie Wellens, spoke to the club’s media team after the final whistle and indicated that he was set to sign a contract extension the following day.

Harrogate Town

The Sulpherites’ difficult start to the season has them in 21st place in League Two ahead of Saturday’s game. Simon Weaver’s team are without a win in in their last four league matches and suffered late heartbreak on Tuesday night when Carlisle’s Owen Moxon scored a 93rd minute equaliser to deny Harrogate a rare three points.

Player to Watch

Matty Daly has been Harrogate’s most effective player this season. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is Harrogate’s top scorer this season having scored six goals in 19 games. Daly, currently on loan from Huddersfield Town, has three goals in his last four games and Orient will have to keep track of his late runs into the box.
