Leyton Orient are set to host Bristol Rovers in the second round of the Papa John’s Trophy.

The O’s were given the home advantage for the game after wins against Brighton U21’s and AFC Wimbledon saw them top their group despite a 3-1 loss in the final fixture against Charlton Athletic.

Whereas Bristol Rovers secured second in their group after a 4-3 win against Chelsea U21’s earlier this week.

Bristol Rovers two other games in their group against Oxford and Walsall both finished all square and the gas were unable to win either shoot outs which would have awarded them an extra point.

This will be the second season in a row the two teams will face off in the competition with the matchup last season, which also took place in the second round, seeing Bristol Rovers come out victorious on penalties after a goal from Rovers defender Alfie Kilgour was cancelled out 4 minutes later by Orient striker Lee Angol.

The tie is set to take place the week commencing December 7th.
