Standing at six feet five, the Shooting Guard plays for London Lions in the British Basketball league having joined the rooster in 2021. Isaiah Reese was born in Miami, Florida on 13th December 1996.

Reese attended DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida before moving to Canisius Golden Griffins as a youngster. The 24 year old spent three seasons from 2016/17 to 2018/19 playing for Canisius Golden Griffins in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) league.

He started his basketball career in 2016 with Canisius and has had a taste of different environments having also played for Santa Cruz Warriors in America before his move to London Lions.

Early Starter

At the tender of 19, he played 34 games in the National Collegiate Athletic Association averaging 7.1 points per game; 42.3 field goals percentage, 2.9 assists, and 26.3 percentage at the three-point line. Defensively he averaged 0.2 blocks, 1.4 steals and three defensive rebounds.

At 22 in the 2019/20 season he played 42 games in the USA G-League averaging 7.1 points per game, 40.9 field goals percentage, 2.8 assists and 33.9 percentage at the three-point line. Defensively he averaged 0.2 blocks, 0.8 steals and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Last Season At Santa Cruz Warriors

In the 2020/21 season Reese played 14 games for Santa Cruz Warriors where he posted an average of 8.3 points per game. He shot 44% from the field. In regards to rebounds per game, he averaged 3.6 as well as 0.1 blocks per game.

His assists per game in the 2020/21 season was 4.5 which is up from 2019/20 season’s total of 2.8. In the 2019/20 season, he averaged 0.5 offensive rebounds and 7.6 efficiency.

His overall average in the regular season is 8.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.

Career Records

Reese set a career-record for assists in a NCAA game on November 18th, 2017 by dishing out 11 assists in Canisius Golden Griffins 104-84 home win against Youngstown State Penguins. He also had 23 points, 11 rebounds and three steals.

On February  13th, 2020, Reese set a career-high in points in a G-League game by scoring 34 points for Santa Cruz Warrior’s in a 117-152 home loss against lowa Wolves.

That day, he was amazing throughout making three rebounds, six assists, and one steal. He shot six out of eight from two, seven out of 14 from three, shooting at 59.1% from the field overall. He also shot one out of one from the free-throw line.

Strengths

Reese is a natural scorer who is able to create a shot off of the dribble and come off of screens.

He is a strong passer who has been improving over the past two seasons, averaging 4.7 assists per game as a sophomore and 4.4 as a junior after 2.9 in his freshman season.

His mid range jump shot was effective in college and he can use crossovers, step backs and more to be able to get those shots off.

His outside shooting needs work, shooting three point shots at 35.9% as a freshman, and 30.4% in his sophomore season.
