Italy’s latest figures show almost 70,000 confirmed cases, and over 6800 deaths. The rate of new infection appears to be slowing down, suggesting that the unprecedented restrictions put on people’s daily lives could be working. But in the face of the Italian statistics it is hard to be optimistic about what lies in store for the UK.

In the video below Chiara shares some of the insights into the Italian situation given to her by her cousin, and suggests that the UK should have acted sooner.
