Spurs On The Horizon

Lucy Huggins looks forward to big game for Orient Women.

Orient women will face Spurs Ladies away in the FA Cup this Sunday.

The O’s maintained their unbeaten record in the league with a 4-0 victory over Eastbourne, keeping them top last Sunday.

They now have a much harder test this weekend in SSE Women’s FA Cup First round against Spurs Ladies.

The last time the two teams met Orient lost 2-0 at home at the Mile End stadium.

The O’s will be without Vanessa Wilson this Sunday who is still out for up to five weeks after suffering a head injury during the Capital Women’s Senior Cup.

With Wilson and a few others out this weekend the squad depth of the O’s Women will be severely tested.

As with most cup games, form and stats are put aside and it’s all about who performs best on the day. Both teams will need to be on top form to go through to the next round of the SSE Women’s FA Cup.

Kick-off is away at Chestnut FC at 13:00
