Cheshunt welcome Bowers & Pitsea to Theobald’s Lane on Tuesday night in a clash at the bottom of the Isthmian Premier Division as The Ambers look to further their distance from the relegation zone.

Out Of Form

The visitors currently sit in 16th place on 27 points and a win will pull them 13 points clear of the drop zone, while Cheshunt sit in 18th with only three points separating them and Corinthian Casuals in the relegation playoff place.

The hosts will be hungry for three points as they look to put an end to their dip in form, currently without a win in all competitions in three games, losing 2-3 to Enfield Town and 2-0 to Worthing in their last couple of league encounters.

Bowers are no pushovers and will want to heap a third straight league defeat in a row on Cheshunt. The visitors have lost their last two in the league, a 0-1 reverse to AFC Hornchurch and a 0-2 home loss to Corinthian Casuals, but they will be hoping that Bradley Warner can add to his 16 goals already this season and help fire them to victory.

Team News

Taylor Miles and Mark Hughes will still be available for selection for The Ambers as their suspensions won’t kick in until Saturday’s league game against Leatherhead, after they both received red cards in the 2-0 defeat to Worthing on Saturday, with assistant manager Peter Russell describing the players’ decisions as “silly” and that “they both should’ve known better”.

Previous Meetings

The two sides last met in league action back in 2017-18 in the Isthmian North division, where the visitors ran out 4-0 winners in the game at Bowers & Pitsea. Bowers gained a measure of revenge in the revere fixture however as Jack Lampe’s header secured all the points for the hosts to steer them clear of relegation.
