After a midweek postponement due to adverse weather, Ilford are back at home again against bottom of the table Woodford Town.

Three Points Required

Ilford and Woodford will be desperate to pick up all three points this weekend, with both sides struggling for league form of late. With their midweek fixtures postponed due to waterlogged pitches both sides have had a week to prepare for this coming Saturday. Ilford found themselves on the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller last week, succumbing to 13th placed Sporting Bengal, 4-3.

Woodford on the other hand, are yet to pick up a single point this season, having lost all eight of their games so far. One positive Woodford can take is that they are yet to be blown away by any team so far with four of their games being just one goal margins, the most recent of which a 2-1 defeat away to Takeley.

Ilford will feel this game is a must win given the current form of their opponents but must be wary of coming unstuck against what is likely to be a spirited and hard-working side.

Ones to Watch

It’s hard to look for danger men in a side with zero points from eight games, however the visitors will be looking to forward Luke Parrott, who has three goals so far in all competitions but with only one of those coming in the league. Woodford will need Parrott to find his goal scoring touch if their side are to pick up their first points of the season this weekend.

Ilford on the other hand, have a striker bang in form in Yemi Adelani. The striker was back in the goals again last week in their 4-3 defeat, taking his total to nine goals this campaign so far. Elsewhere, Dimi Christou has raised his game in recent weeks, becoming more influential in games and looks a player Ilford can rely on to make something happen in forward areas.
