Tickets On Sale Tomorrow For Download Pilot Festival

Camden O'Keefe spreads the good news

Download 2021 is – for the moment anyway – back on this year as part of the UK government’s Event Research Programme. Donnington Park will welcome 10,000 people as part of the second stage of a research programme that aims to help develop a policy for bringing back festivals, concerts and nightclubs at full capacity. Data is gathered at each event to measure transmission risk.

Download Pilot – as it is being called this year – will be held from the 18th to the 20th of June and will require no social distancing restrictions, which means you will be able to hug, dance, mosh pit and party with whoever you like.

Ticket holders for the 2022 festival will have first dibs on tickets to the Pilot festival, which go sale on the 1st of June and then on the 3rd to non-ticket holders assuming that there are some left.

The line up for the festival consists of mainly British acts such as Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, Bullet for my Valentine and Enter Shikari.

Attendees will have to have had a negative lateral flow test before the event, and will then have to take a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test before and after the festival in order to help the government gather data.
