UEL Aim To Pile Pressure On Kings

Alistair Chin previews UEL's badminton match against LSE.

UEL face LSE in their first game back from the Christmas break hoping to continue their good form from last year.

With UEL having played one game less than table toppers Kings , UEL will need to win this game in order to keep the pressure on Kings.

With Alvin Lee unavailable to play, George Geaves will most likely be selected to fill the void that Lee leaves. With Azhar Syed returning to singles duties, he will be accompanied by Jamaican International Sean Wilson, refreshed from his trip home for the winter break.

As Lee will be unavailable Geaves will partner Joshua Teoh and in one of his last games for UEL. Tze Voon Lim will partner Ali Chin. Hoping for a strong performance to start off 2017, the team are in high spirits that they can do the double over a strong side like LSE.

LSE are in slight trouble having been deducted three points for not fielding a team against The University of Medway. That deduction has really affected their position in the table as they now only have three points in total despite actually winning two matches. Now languishing at the bottom, their hopes of promotion look to be beyod their reach.

UEL will need to capitalise on the LSE team’s turmoil if they are to continue their great form from last year, keeping their unbeaten run going.
