UEL Women’s Football first team will be looking for their third consecutive league victory away at Queen Mary University of London this Wednesday.

They go into the match sitting second in the BUCS South Eastern 1A division, level on points with table toppers Brunel University, having played one game extra.

Stephen Opoka’s side have recorded three wins and one defeat so far this season, earning nine points from 12 available, and boasting the league’s best goal difference (15)

Last week, UEL overcame St Mary’s University College 4-0 at Mabley Green. A win this week, and points dropped by Brunel, would see the East Londoners move into first place as the clock ticks down to Christmas.

Royal Hosts

UEL’s opponents, Queen Mary, sit fifth in the division with three points from 12 available to them this season.

They have one victory and three defeats from four league games and possess a goal difference of -8.

Last time out, Queen Mary fell to a 4-0 loss at league leaders Brunel University on 31st October.

A win for the home side would drag them away from the foot of the table and to within three points of UEL.
