UEL Women’s first team continue their season with an away trip to Oxford University this Wednesday evening. They have enjoyed a perfect start to the 2018-19 campaign, winning all three of their opening fixtures in the Premier South Division.

Oxford have only played one game so far this season, losing 3-2 at home to Bristol. The hosts will be hoping to utilise their home advantage and give The Blues a tough test.

High Standards

The UEL women’s first team have been hugely successful in recent years, winning the Premier South Division in each of the past three seasons. The girls will be eyeing up their fourth league triumph on the bounce after an impressive start to the current campaign.

Each season, the women’s team have only suffered one defeat on their way to league glory. So, could this be the year to win every single fixture?

Winning Streak

The evidence suggests things are heading in the right direction. UEL have enjoyed a perfect start to the season, with three wins out of three seeing the women sit top of the division with nine points. The Blues began with a straight-set victory away to Bristol, followed by a narrow 3-2 win against Essex in their first home game of the campaign.

UEL’s last match saw them travel to Bournemouth University where they came away with a 3-1 victory. This week, Jefferson Williams’ side will look to leave another university with all three points.

When and Where?

Oxford University Sports Hall will be the venue for this tie, with the match scheduled for a later start of 20:00 on Wednesday evening. If you wish to see the UEL girls in action at SportsDock, head down on 7th November where they will be hosting the University of Bristol.
