Davis, the UEL captain and predominately a defender, although she can play in other positions, is coming to the end of her time studying Sports Coaching at UEL and has recently finished her third season as a player for the women’s football team.

The defender has enjoyed her time playing for her university and especially playing for a team who hadn’t lost a game until this season.

During that time, Davis has played with teammates who have joined a number of high-profile clubs, the most notable being Rinsola Babajide who currently plays for Women’s Super League side Liverpool women.

Playing History

Davis herself has played for a number of clubs around the capital, including Leyton Orient, Dagenham & Redbridge, and most recently West Ham United:

“I was with a Sunday league team for about 10 years and then I moved to Leyton Orient for a season and a bit. Then after Leyton Orient, I went to Dagenham & Redbridge for a bit and then last year I was with West Ham.”

Supported Club And Idol

An east Londoner originally, Davis is a fan of her local club and arguably the biggest club in east London, West Ham United.

She is a fan of club captain Mark Noble and admits to looking up to the captain from a young age, and with both Davis and Noble being captains for their teams, the UEL captain enjoys supporting her club captain.

When asked about her childhood idol, Davis was quick to answer, saying: “It’s got to be Mark Noble, you’ve got to be a captain supporting a captain. He’s your typical east London. I’m from east London, he’s from Canning Town and I’ve always looked up to him since I was little.”

Now Davis is looking to complete her degree and find a new club to join at the start of next season. Davis said: “I finish uni this year and then I think next season I’m going to look for a team and then I think just go from there really. I recently had an injury, so I haven’t been playing this season, but next season I’m ready to look for a team and see where that goes.”
