Leyton Orient women continue their good run of form by putting seven past Camden Town FC without reply on Sunday.

The victory see’s the O’s beat Camden Town for the second time this season.

The O’s went into the game clear favourites having won the reverse fixture 5-0.

In the 25th minute of a very tense game for Orient,  Sophie Le Marchand scored the first goal, running on to a through pass and finishing calmly in the box making.

Having patiently waiting for the first goal, the second arrived a minute later after an Orient player was brought down in the box,  resulting in a penalty, which Le Marchand again calmly slotted away to make it 2-0 to the O’s.

Hat-trick

Two minutes later and Orient added to their lead with Ella Meadowcroft getting her first goal of the game. The ball bobbled through to Meadowcroft who managed to clear the defence and place the ball past the keeper into the bottom corner making it 3-0.

With half time lurking around the corner, the O’s pocketed another goal making it 4-0 before the whistle. Sophie Le Marchand scoring her Hat-trick after creating space on the edge of the box. Le Marchand curled the ball around on-rushing defenders to find the top right corner of the Camden’s net and secure a definitive lead.

More of the Same

The second half much like the first was quiet until the 60th minute before Orient compounded their lead with another from Le Marchand, taking her total to four.

After a great ball was sent into the box, the Camden defenders were left clueless as what to do next at which point Le Marchand managed to put the ball into the back of the net scoring her fourth of the day.

Camden town started to improve in the latter part of the second, half but it was not enough to stop the O’s from going two better than their reverse fixture with Leyre Bastyr scoring Orient’s seventh in the 80th minute.

At the final whistle the O’s walked away with all three points following a thrilling 7-0 win.
