Seven Places to Be For Halloween

Last year’s Halloween was a disaster due to Covid, but East London is buzzing with spooky new events this year. So Rising East has compiled this list of places for you to choose from, with price, location, and the best chance of having maximum fun being the determining factor.

  1. Ballie Ballerson (The Zombie Wedding): 29-31st October

Ballie Ballerson is hosting a Zombie wedding at Shoreditch, with spooky DJs and cocktails to match. They will also be giving away £1,000 worth of prizes, including three £250 bar tabs to use on the night for the best dressed. The event starts at 6pm and you can get your tickets from £5 depending on the day you chose to attend.

  1. UEL Halloween Party: 28th October

The University of East London will have its own Halloween Party from 10pm till 2:30 am. It is open to all students and would take place at the Underground bar.

This event is FREE to attend.

  1. Hallowqueen: 29th October

If you are interested in drag, this drag-themed Halloween event is the one for you! It will go down at The Breakfast Club in Canary Wharf. Fancy dress is an absolute must as the queens will be checking your outfits, judging you & crowning the best dressed.

You can get your tickets for £10 and they come with a free drink.

  1. Freakshow Friday At Cargo: 29th October

This Shreditch Halloween event is exclusively for students. You will have the opportunity to meet different students from across London at Cargo. There will be photographers, videographers and crazy drink deals to make it a memorable night!

  1. Day of the dead: 29th October

With all-star DJs dropping some beats to die for; Patron-infused cocktail specials; drink offers; and scarily good decorations, this FREE event at Bario, Shoreditch isn’t to be missed.  It will run from 5pm till 2am so you will be in for a bumpy ride. By the way, free tickets stp at 9:30, so get there early.

  1. Halloqweens (UK Black Pride): 30th October

UK Black Pride is proud to announce that it will be holding its very first Halloween-themed club night – at the Village Underground in Shoreditch from 10pm till 5am. In Juky the organisation held what they billed as Europe’s largest pride celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern-descent.

  1. Nightmare in Shoreditch: 30th October

Happening at the Lighthouse Bar and club in Shoreditch from 9pm till 2am, this event boasts several DJs dishing out great tunes to make it a night to remember. They will also be giving away a total of 100 free shots to those who attend.
