After an impressive 2-0 victory over League One rivals Doncaster on Saturday, Charlton make the trip to Walsall in what will be an important game for both sides who are looking to push for a place in the playoffs.

Goals from Joe Aribo and Karlan Ahearne-Grant secured the win for the Addicks in their last outing, with Grant adding to his eight-goal tally for the season.

Charlton currently sit in 8th place and just three points outside the playoffs after 16 games. The side has managed to pick up seven points in their last five games, and currently have a game in hand on the three teams above them.

Struggling Hosts

Their opponents Walsall go into tomorrow’s game with only one win in four after losing 3-1 at home to 14th placed Burton Albion on Saturday, and have managed to secure six points in their last five games.

The home side have struggled to get into a winning routine so far this year, with home defeats in significant games against the teams around them in the league, including a 1-0 loss to Accrington Stanley and a 4-1 thrashing to Doncaster Rovers.

Charlton’s Advantage

Charlton will be looking to capitalise on this and continue their push for promotion, with a game in hand and a superior goal difference putting them in a promising position.

When and Where?

Walsall v Charlton Athletic kicks off at 19:45 tomorrow evening at the Banks’s Stadium.
