UEL Men’s 2nd Team face a stern test on Wednesday as they face the University of Hertfordshire at SportsDock, tip-off at 1:30pm.

Difficult Start

The home side currently reside in third place in the South Eastern 1A table, with one win and two defeats to their name so far this season.

UEL’s last match-up was two weeks ago, as they narrowly lost to the London South Bank University by the small margin of three points at the LSBU Sports Centre, 98-95.

Even in defeat, UEL are sure to have taken positives from that match into their upcoming encounter, considering LSBU sit atop of the table with 3 wins out of 3.

Lack Of Game Time

Meanwhile, Hertfordshire’s first team have only played one game this season, in which they won by a 21-point margin over Surrey three weeks ago, and let’s not forget Surrey were the team who beat UEL on the opening day.

Despite Hertfordshire’s lack of match action, they sit in fourth position in the league on the same amount of points as UEL, only below them on points difference. This Wednesday’s clash will no doubt be a difficult for both sides.

This match is sure to be highly competitive as the winner of this will move into second place on points difference in the league table, potentially temporarily as Surrey and LSBU will clash hours after the match in East London.
