Last Sunday night I met Harry Sorrell at his flat. Harry is a blind drummer from Kent who studies Music Performance and Production at the University of East London (UEL). As we sat in his kitchen, Harry opened up about his goal to get more gigs with his band ‘Oracle’.
Apart from being a talented drummer, Harry is a witty and humorous guy who just wants to make it big in the music industry. He is also quite open when it comes to his disability. When asked about his biggest struggle as a blind person trying to break into the industry, he jokingly said: ‘finding the right door to open.’
In the interview below Harry talks about his current gigs; future goals; how he got into the industry; and his greatest inspirations.
