Last season left East London Men’s Cricket team feeling disappointed, with the team struggling to win matches due to a lack of players and only winning two of their games –this ultimately led the team to be unsuccessful in their hunt to secure promotion in the outdoor league.

A New Season

Captain Ihtisham Mir is hoping the club will be able to turn their fortunes around and be more successful in fighting for promotion this season.

The team compete in both BUCS indoor and outdoor leagues, with the indoor season currently being played in the winter months followed by the outdoor season in summer.

The indoor season is currently in full swing and Mir is focused on big achievements for the club.

Performing Under Pressure

On Sunday the club faced Kings College in a must win game to make it through to the indoor nationals.

A convincing victory saw East London win 135-3 with Kings all out for 66, to confidently secure their spot through to nationals which will take place over the next few months.
