Fashion show organisers Scoop and Pure London took over Brick Lane’s Truman Brewery to showcase over 172 contemporary and premium womenswear and accessory designer collections curated by Scoop founder Karen Radley.

After a Covid-enforced break, the Scoop x Pure collaboration  brightened up East London with its fresh take on the fashion scene.

Rising East reporter Freya Barnes visited the show one cold evening in February, and found herself surrounded not only by rails and rails of fashion, but also jewellery, sunglasses, and concrete pottery!

Freya got to take a closer look at some of the top emerging designers, starting off with Martin from Complex Minds who spoke with us about the four brands he has been working with recently: Smith & GoatYoung Poet SocietyEsme Studios, and Neon Denim.

Up next, she got to speak with luxury shoe designer Laura See who spoke about the process of creating and designing shoes and about how art has played a role in her inspiration.

Finally, to close out the evening, Freya spoke to Parisian jewellery designer Judy from Yay who introduced us to her all-occasion jewellery and explained how addictive a beautiful accessory can be.

After the show Karen Bradley told FabUK Magazine: The Scoop x Pure creative director Karen Bradley  ‘I am thrilled with how this season’s show has gone. We have had the most wonderful feedback from both buyers and designers who have written orders and reconnected with clients. It was lovely to welcome an exclusive selection of new designers this season, as well as some beautiful new collections from returning labels.’

As for the season ahead, both organisations are hosting separate events this summer. Scoop is set to showcase from 17th to 19th of July at Old Billingsgate, and Pure London from the 12th to the 14th of July at Olympia London.
