For The Love Of BOD – My Cosmetic Surgery Experience

After a long battle with myself, I finally decided to undergo a new cosmetic procedure that has been booming the industry, Non-Invasive Liposuction, also known as Fat Cavitation.

As a social media influencer with over 10,000 followers, I often get offered beauty services in exchange for promotion, but I had never been offered anything like this before !

Fat Cavitation is the process of shaping/toning the body using low frequency ultrasound to target stubborn fat deposits, and the strong waves will eventually break down fat it into liquid fatty acids. These fatty acids will then leave the body naturally through the lymphatic system.

With cosmetic surgery being popular but coming with a lot of added risks, this non-invasive route has proven to be a great alternative for those who do not want to get under the knife.

I had never considered surgery before, but I do have a few problems areas that I thought I would not mind contouring a little.

I will not hide the fact that as I arrived at my appointment a part of me was very nervous and didn’t know what to expect. But I was also very excited to experience what the hype was about.

My chosen procedure consisted of five steps because I had chosen an advanced package: laser lipo; ultrasound cavitation; and radiofrequency therapy (all which are standard steps of the procedure) along with a lymphatic drainage massage and wood therapy (which will encourage the flow of liquids around the body).

The whole process took around one and a half hours. If you have ever had an MRI scan you will know it can get very loud due to the radio waves, so as I lay down she gave me tiny ear buds to ensure that I would be comfortable throughout the procedure.

The aesthetician placed a cold gel on my stomach and rubbed it in slightly. She then began the first half of the procedure which consisted of the laser Lipo and ultrasound cavitation with the radiofrequency. After this she cleared my abdomen of all the equipment, replacing the gel with oil for the second half of my treatment.

I felt no pain whatsoever during the whole procedure and she made me feel very comfortable even though I was a little nervous. The only slight discomfort is the coldness of the gel being applied and the pressure when she is performing the massage.

After we had finished she gave me a leaflet with some aftercare tips. One of the biggest benefits of taking the non-invasive route is that there is no downtime, which is perfect for me as I still had to work.

Although there are no strict rules to follow post-treatment unlike with invasive surgery, it is advised that you make some healthy lifestyle changes. These include drinking at least 3three litres of water a day, maintaining a healthy diet and exercising regularly. She advised that by following this regime I would see the best results.

Some of those results can be seen instantly, for example a more toned appearance in the treated area. But I was told that if I followed the aftercare rules I would see other results within two to three weeks.

It is recommended that with Fat Cavitation you have at least five sessions in order to have longer-lasting results, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is supposed to ensure that the results are permanent.

Overall, my first experience with Fat Cavitation was an amazing one. I have 4 sessions left and I am excited to see the results over the coming weeks!
