Glastonbury Tickets Take A Whole Hour To Sell Out!

The second release tickets for Glastonbury 2023 sold out in an hour this year, rather than the usual 30 minutes. There could be two possible reasons for this:  the price or the technical difficulties.

Next year’s tickets went up from £280 to £335, so that might have slowed things down.

But people have also reported loads of technical hitches. The first release tickets and coach tickets sold out in 22 minutes. But many complained that the website would not even load for them.

And others have reported confusion online as some still managed to get tickets even after they had apparently ‘sold out’. If you attempt to get tickets now, most websites will send you an ‘event not found’ message.

Emily Eavis, festival co-organiser, issued an apology.

If you missed the opportunity to buy the tickets outright, you could kill two birds with one stone. If you apply for an account with Oxfam you can donate to the charity by volunteering, and get to attend the festival. You have to pay for the ticket but will get the money back after the festival is over.

As well as going down the volunteering route, you could wait for the official resale in spring 2023 to grab those last-minute tickets.

But only tickets bought from the See Tickets will be valid, so you will have to be cautious and make sure you know where the tickets come from.

So far, the rumoured artists for 2023 are: Artic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses, Harry Styles, Pulp, Rihanna, and Roxy Music. Harry Styles and Elton John are fan favourites to headline the festival’s famous ‘Pyramid’ stage.

So do any of these names make the price sound reasonable? If you think so, and can track down a ticket, the festival runs from Wednesday 21st June to Sunday 25th June at Worthy Farm, Somerset.
