British Bantamweight boxer Dennis “The Menace” McCann extended his record to 11-0 after his victory against Juan Jose Jurado at the Copperbox Arena and his promoter Frank Warren wasn’t afraid of hyping up his prodigy.

“He has the ability to go all the way and become one of the superstars of British boxing,” he said after the fight.

“Tyson [Fury], like myself, really rate him.”

McCann dominated the fight, winning all eight rounds with the scorecard reading 80-72 in favour of the young Brit. McCann rose to stardom after praise from fellow fighter and Heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury.

The 20-year-old fought well throughout the eight rounds with a combination of hooks, jabs and uppercuts giving Jurado no chance as he spent most of the fight on the ropes defending.

McCann began showboating towards the end of the last two rounds following a flurry of combinations and smooth defence in prior rounds.

The young talent dedicated the fight to his beloved friend John Boy Cash who was tragically killed in a car accident in Headcorn in October along with three others.

The Brit believes he is “ready for anyone” who puts themselves forward for his next fight.
