Rumours are circulating that the end of lockdown is in sight. We may not have reached the end, but this may be the beginning of the end. My advice is: don’t let a good crisis go to waste. Take the opportunity to spend all day everyday playing the marvelous games which I’m here to tell you about.

Earlier this month, Resident Evil 3 Remake was released. The superb survival horror game, originally released on September 1999, gets a re-touch to make it scary for the next generation. I got my hands on a copy of it and it is amazing!

If you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you entitled to two free games per month, and this month’s duo are two of the best: Uncharted 4 and Dirt Rally 2. If you haven’t played the Uncharted series, then do yourself a favour and download it now. Action, adventure, an amazing storyline, exotic places, ancient myths and lost treasures, Uncharted 4 has them all.  If speed is your thing rather than exotic adventure, Dirt Rally 2.0 is built for you. Driving beautiful fast cars through the mud, has never looked so good. The graphics and driving mechanics are absolutely on point. Both games are free for PlayStation Plus subscribers to download until 4 May.

If you’ve already played all the games described above, don’t worry – there’s more to come. On 24 April, get your friends to come and join the fight in Predator Hunting Grounds. Based on the 1988 film Predator, the game has the original soundtrack from the movie. It takes the form of four players, playing as soldiers, against one player, playing as the Predator. If you are a fan of the movie, this is the game for you.

If you are looking for a single player experience, then you might have to wait for Ghost of Tsushima. You’ll get to play as a samurai in during the Mongol invasion of Japan. By all accounts, the game pushes PlayStation 4 to its limits. The trailers look beautiful but unfortunately it’s not due out until 26 June…..

By that time we may have escaped from lockdown and you may have something better to do. As if……
