Canadian-American singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette is set to hit the UK on tour for the 25th anniversary of her seminal album ‘Jagged Little Pill’. Alongside the tour dates, Morissette also released her new single, “Olive Branch”.

Originally, the shows were due to take place in the autumn of 2020, but then were moved twice to October 2021 and then to November due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, Morissette’s tour is now set to take place during the month of June this year.

The last two dates of the tour, 28th & 29th June, will take place at East London’s very own 02 Arena with special guest Beth Orton.

The remarkable album that was released in 1995, is what brought Alanis Morissette into the music world. It has been considered a trailblazer for the creative freedom and independence of young women everywhere. With the most popular song on the album, the ironically un-ironic song “Ironic”, showing a series of laughable unfortunate events.

The album has sold over 33 million copies since its release. It has inspired both an acoustic version by Morissette and a huge stage musical based on the songs, which shows how much of an impact this album has continued to have.

The album also won Morissette a Grammy in 1996. She was the youngest artist to win the prestigious award at the age of 21.
