New Japan’s Wrestling Revolution

New Japan Stars invaded London this week, Rising East reporter Andrew Beaumont attended the event and reported on the 'Chaos' which unfolded during the night.

York Hall was yet again the host of another Revolution Pro Wrestling show this past week. This  stacked card did not just include the top British talents but New Japan Stars also performed.

Champion vs Champion

Fans who attended got to see a great main event when British Heavyweight Champion Tomohiro ‘Stone Pitbull’ Ishii defended his title against British Cruiserweight Champion David Starr in a champions vs champions match.

Ishii, who won the belt against SUZUKI-GUN’s leader  Minoru Suzuki in Brixton recently, managed to successfully defend his title after delivering a devastating Brain Buster.

Chaos vs SUZUKI-GUN

The show was mainly centered between two faction groups who are currently causing havoc in Japanese wrestling promotion, New Japan Pro Wrestling.  A ‘good guy’ stable called  ‘Chaos’ and a ‘bad guy’ stable called SUZUKI-GUN.

The British Tag Team Championships were  successfully defended when SUZUKI-GUN members and defending champions Minoru Suzuki and Zack Sabre Jr managed to defeat  Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher, also known as the Aussie connection.

Shocking turn of events

The night kicked off with UK independent scene veteran Chris Brookes being defeated by SUZUKI-GUN’s very own Taichi.

During the match, Britain’s very own and Chaos member Will Ospreay came out to aid Brookes but accidently helped Taichi. In a shocking moment, fans were left stunned after  Brookes attacked Ospreay out of frustration.

Number one sport for UK wrestling

RevPro have made York Hall their spiritual home for their biggest shows of the year, taking their smaller shows around the UK to promote what they provide here and overseas. Fans saw many new faces such as MK McKinnan and The Great O-Kharn, who we will be seeing a lot more of in the future.
