The FA Trophy second round draw saw Leyton Orient and Dagenham & Redbridge both handed away ties, as the O’s take on Wrexham, whilst Daggers will take on either Salford City or Gateshead.

The Draw

Peter Taylor’s side await the replay tonight between Salford City and Gateshead, as the Daggers hit the road for their second consecutive FA Trophy fixture.

Orient travel to Wales, as they take on Wrexham. Having already beat the Dragons 2-0 away from home, Justin Edinburgh’s side will relish the opportunity to return to The Racecourse Ground.

First Round

The O’s comfortably saw off Beaconsfield Town with a 4-0 victory at The Breyer Group Stadium. George Elokobi opened the scoring, before James Brophy, Craig Clay and Dale Gorman completed the scoring.

Daggers’ travelled to Ebbsfleet, as Angelo Balanta’s first half lob was the difference between the two National League sides.  Dagenham defended valiantly, as they held of the Fleet, to secure passage to the next round of the competition.

When?

The fixtures for the second round of the FA Trophy are scheduled to be player on the weekend of the 12th of January, in the New Year.
