Leyton Orient will play AFC Telford United in the semi-final of the FA Trophy following yesterday’s draw.

The two sides will face off across two legs, the first of which takes place at The Breyer Group Stadium, for a place in the FA Trophy Final.

A victory against Telford will see Orient head to Wembley for the final of the competition where they would meet either AFC Fylde, Maidstone United or Stockport County with the latter two needing a quarter-final replay.

Late Winner

The O’s came from behind to see off holders Brackley Town at the weekend, as Dan Happe’s 83rd minute header sealed a 2-1 victory.

Substitute Matt Harrold levelled the tie 15 minutes from time, cancelling out Lee Ndlovu’s first-half opener.

Big Scalp

AFC Telford currently sit sixth in the National League North, making them the lowest-ranked side remaining in the competition.

Manager Gavin Cowan saw his team eliminate Solihull Moors with a 2-1 victory in the quarter-finals, proving to be one of the shocks of the Trophy.

Daniel Udoh’s goal a minute from time saw The Bucks come away from Damson Park the unlikely winners.

Two-Legged

Orient will have the home advantage for the first leg on Saturday 16th March, before visiting Bucks Head for the second leg on Saturday 23rd March.
