Standing at 2.08 metres, Fahro Alihodzic is a Center that plays for London Lions in the British Basketball League. Born 25th August 1989 in Vlasenica, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Alihodzic started his career in 2014 with Kaposvari before moving to Rethimno, Greece in the 2014-15 season.

He is somewhat of a journeyman having also featured for the likes of Estudiantes Concordia, Argentina in 2015 and Promitheas Patras in Greece just to name a few.

Having gone to St Francis de Sales in Toledo, Ohio for high school, he attended Fordham college in the years from 2009 to 2011, Southeastern CC in the years 2011-12 before finishing college in 2014 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Last season Alihodzic played 23 games for Prishtina where he posted an average of 16.3 points, shooting 57.1% from the field in regards to assists Alihodzic averaged 2.2 and defensively he averaged 11 rebounds and 0.6 blocks.

Alihodzic is dangerous in the paint. There aren’t many bigs in the league in ratio to guards, so it’s important to have solid options for players to come in and control the paint. Alihodzic has plenty of experience too and being English, he does not take up one of the foreign spots.

London Lions coach Vince Macaulay is clearly grateful for Alihodzic’s presence, telling the Newham Recorder: “It is important to have someone that can operate in the paint, battle hard night in night out who has the experience required for what we want to achieve. He carries himself in the right way.”

Points:

Alihodzic reached his career-high in points in a Liga A game in Argentina. He notched 26 points in a 92-83 road loss. He also made seven rebounds, two assists, two steals. He shot 11/14 from two, shooting at 78.6 % from the field. He also shot four out of five from the free-throw line.

 

 

Rebounds:

In a Heba A2 game in Greece, Alihodzic equalled his career-high in rebounds with 12 rebounds in a 77-67   Patra road win. He also grabbed 13 points, one assist and one block.

Assists:

On October 29th, 2016, the Center recorded his career-high in assists. That day he dished three assists in Nea Smyrni’s 103-66 home win against Pagratti. He also recorded 20 points, eight rebounds and one steal.

Steals:

The 31-year-old recorded his career-high in steals in a Hungary A-League game with four steals in Kaposvars 84-67 home loss against Paks. He also recorded four points, six rebounds and one assist.

Blocks:

On April 22nd, 2017, Alihodzic reached his career-high in blocks in a Heba A2 game. He reached five blocks in a 79-58 Nea Smyrni home win. He also made 14 points, 12 rebounds, and one assist.

Efficiency:

In a Heba A2 game, he got 32 for efficiency in a 79-58 Nea Smyrni home win.
