Jack Giordmaina previews the fifth round of the Revolution series…

Round 5 of the Revolution series is coming to the Velodrome on the 27th and 28th February. The series will see some of the great track cyclists in action, including Laura Trott, Dame Sarah Storey and Pete Kennaugh.

Fans will be able to watch a large variety of competitive cycling as the round will feature an afternoon and evening session packed with action from all the leading male and female British and international cycling stars.

The event will start on Friday with a spectacular GB v Rest of the World competition with eight British and eight international riders going head to head to see who can come out on top.

The Friday session will also see an elite Women’s elimination event where the best female riders in the world will go against the clock to try and be the last woman standing. To wrap off the first day there will be a special sprint event.

The Saturday afternoon session will see the riders battle it out in the Elite Championship Points Race, as each rider will try and score as many points as possible going into the last round of the championship in Manchester on March 14.

The Saturday session will also see an elite women’s race and UCI Sprinting. The session will also include an elite championship Derny race with two heats leading to a final.
