UEL Hockey Seek Win After Cancelled Match

Emma Ellis reports on the start to the 2018/19 season for UEL Women's Hockey.

After a nightmare start in the league, UEL Women’s Hockey were looking to fight back in their second match of the season against Royal Veterinary College 2nd.

However, just hours before the game was due to start it was confirmed that the game was called off, due to there being no umpires to oversee the match.

Disappointment

All involved were disappointed that the game could not go ahead for UEL as the team were ready to fight for their first win of the season, but more importantly were excited to continue bonding on the pitch.

The club currently sit second bottom in the table after just one game, which they lost 7-0, away to University of Arts London 1st.

What’s next?

UEL will be back training hard on Monday to ensure they are ready for their next game, which is a home match against University of Hertfordshire 2nd on the 31st of October.
