The UEL netball ladies are pumped and ready to play tonight in their final game of the BUCS league.

This game was postpended due to circumstances that have not yet been stated and was now rescheduled for Wednesday 23rd March 2022. The ladies will be playing against Kings College’s sixth team.

The ladies played Kings College 6th team on December 8th 2021, in a game in which the UEL side lost 24-13, due to the lack of players as many were out injured.

UEL has also played Kings College 9th team once in the league this year in a game which once again slipped away from them, 27-26.

The UEL ladies have put the last week into good use. Training hard to win against Kings College this time as this is their last match. The UEL captain, Ellie Eaton spoke on their previous meetings with King’s college in a training session, “Let’s put the last two games we played with Kings behind us and focus on this game we have left and use what we learned into practice.”

Promotion Riding On A Win

If the ladies win this game, it will make them the winners of the BUCS league in this Division 8 and they will move up to the next division next year.

The Kings College team currently play in two different leagues which are the EY South-eastern tier eight and also EY South-eastern Conference. Since December 2021, Kings College’s sixth team have only won three games in the Division eight fixtures.

Kings college side will be led by their two captains Claudia Eeles and Tiffany Lai, whilst UEL will be led by their very own captain Ellie Eaton.

The UEL versus Kings College sixth team game will take place tomorrow evening at 4pm at the University of East London.

The sports Dock will be open to everyone from the university to come and watch this rematch. This will be a farewell match for some of the UEL ladies as some girls are finishing university this year and the season is set to conclude.

We wish the ladies good luck in their journeys after university!
