The whole team have been very impressive but within the team there has been a few individuals that have outshone the rest of the squad. Michail Antonio is an example of a player that has outshone the rest of the squad.
Presently he is the Hammers’ top scorer this season with six goals. His qualities are his aerial ability, speed, and his hold up play. These qualities have meant he has solidified himself as the main striker.
Assists are an underrated element to Antonio’s game. He is in the top five for assists through open play. This is amazing considering the amount of quality attacking midfielders there are in the Premier League.
Special Rice
Another standout player is Declan Rice. Rice’s 35 tackles won puts him fifth in the league for tackles won. His three assists mean he is seventh in the league for assists and his 92% passes completion in the box rank him 12th for passes completed. This shows his best attributes are his tackling, high intensity work rate and awareness of a pass.
Zestful Zouma
The signing of Zouma from Chelsea has been a masterstroke. Zouma has shown his dominance both defensively and offensively making headed clearances and scoring headers. He is known for his aerial duels. West Ham have a centre back that is a great player that plays internationally for France.
