The east London club slipped to a 26-31 loss to Ampthill last time out at Well End and will be keen to bounce back against a vastly improved Rosslyn Park side.

After a 12th placed finish last campaign, Rosslyn Park find themselves sitting 4th, just two points behind Blackheath and four behind leaders Ampthill.

Formidable Home Form

Rosslyn Park’s have been formidable at home this campaign winning seven of the nine games played.

Their two defeats coming against Darlington Mowden Park and Esher respectively. However, Blackheath’s away form has also been strong, losing to Rotherham and Ampthill.

The sides are yet to meet this season but if last season is anything to go by, Blackheath will be favourites going into the clash after a 6-25 away win, along with a 17-17 draw at Well Hall.

Recent Form

With the title race intensifying, both sides are currently enduring difficult spells.

Blackheath have won just two of their last five games, beating both Darlington Mowden Park and Old Elthamians on the road.

However, losses against Rotherham, Plymouth Albion and Ampthill have seen them slip from the top of the table down to 3rd.

It’s a similar story with Rosslyn Park who have suffered back to back defeats over the last fortnight with close fought defeats to Old Elthamians and Darlington Mowden Park ending a six-game winning streak.

The streak contained recent wins over Rotherham, Bishop’s Strortford and Caldy and has helped Rosslyn Park enter the title race.

The game will take place at Priory Lane at 3pm on Saturday 26th January.
