The Daggers enter the cup tie occupying 12th place in the Vanarama National League following the postponement of last weekend’s fixture away at Stockport County.

Peter Taylor’s side responded to the unfortunate delay by earning passage to the Essex Senior Cup fourth round with a 1-0 victory away at Hullbridge Sports on Tuesday night, courtesy of Reece Grant’s 5th-minute strike.

The east London club were knocked out of the FA Cup by Boreham Wood at this stage last season, losing a tightly contested replay 1-0 after the initial match ended 2-2.

Saturday’s hosts find themselves in 8th place in the Isthmian League Premier Division but were beaten 4-0 last time out against Chertsey Town in the Surrey County Cup preliminary round.

The Manager:

The Robins pulled off a major coup by securing player-manager Peter Adeniyi to a new three-year contract this summer.

As player-manager Adeniyi led Carshalton to successive promotions, first winning the Bostik South Division before coming second in the Bostik Premier Division to earn promotion to the Isthmian League Premier Division.

Along with daily managerial duties Adeniyi also oversees the club’s academy and youth teams.

Ones to Watch:

Omar Koroma:
The 29-year old striker was originally brought to England by Portsmouth before playing for Norwich in the Championship. The Gambia international is an experienced leader of Adeniyi’s side, continuing his strong form this campaign with five goals thus far.

Ricky Korboa:
Korboa has burst onto the scene in recent weeks with five goals in his last six matches and will be looking to continue his fine goalscoring form on Saturday. The 22-year old has struggled with injuries but is now fully fit and firing on all cylinders.

Daniel Pappoe:
The Chelsea youth product enjoyed a terrific loan spell at Carshalton last season, earning a permanent move to the War Memorial Sports Ground. The 25-year old defender has twice featured for Ghana U20s and has been on the books at Crawley, Brighton, and Colchester.
