Coming off the back of a 2-2 draw on Saturday against Holmesdale, Fisher were out for blood against basement side, and manager Ajay Ashanike’s former side, Tower Hamlets.

First Half Dominance

Whether it was lack of personnel on the day or a tactical decision from Ashanike, Fisher lined-up in an unfamiliar 3-4-3 formation.

The change was a positive one, with wing-backs Luke Thomas and Temi Oladejo a constant threat down their respective flanks, full of running in behind and providing plenty of problems to the Hamlets defence.

Fisher controlled from early and looked set on having a host of chances, with Oladejo and Jacob Katonia striking from distance early and Prince Imoru hitting the bar from a corner.

Fisher goes searching for more goals

Set-pieces looked positive for Fisher in the opening half, and it was a corner that saw them make the breakthrough, an in-swinging corner from left-wing back Oladejo was met brilliantly by striker David Luzolo who rose highest and headed into the top corner.

After a spell of more dominance, it was Luzolo who grabbed his and Fisher’s second, excellent pressing from Isaac Thompson saw him win the ball high and send Luzolo through one on one who made no mistake in slotting home under the goalkeeper.

Luzolo’s first half hat trick followed soon after, a great flick from Isaac Thompson allowed Luzolo to race through on goal and convert calmly into the bottom corner.

The opening half ended 3-0, but it could and probably should have been more, with Thompson missing the biggest chance in the half.

Fisher’s Goalkeeper Scores

Thompson was the first to get in on the second-half goalscoring action, after a terrible challenge for Hamlets captain inside the box, Thompson made no mistake in converting from the spot.

The Luzolo show continued as he grabbed his fourth of the afternoon, the best of the bunch for the striker who raced in behind the defence before sitting down the defender with a clever turn and slotting in at the near post.

With the half and spirits of the Tower Hamlets players fading, it was another penalty conceded from the hosts. It went from bad to worse as the challenge was a poor one and the referee saw fit to reduce Hamlets down to ten.

Up stepped recent England 6-a-side debutant and goalkeeper, Tommy Taylor. The keeper made sure the decision was justified and fired into the bottom corner expertly.

Abdoullah Traore completed the Fisher rout off the bench, a defence that had given up long ago allowed the substitute to get in behind one and one, who cleverly chipped the ball over a helpless Hamlets keeper.

Fisher recorded their biggest win of the season and look to finish the season strong with the final game this Saturday at home to K Sports.
