“This is the club that got me into basketball and provided me the foundations to become the player I am now, so having the opportunity to play for them on the professional level is an opportunity that I just couldn’t turn down,” he added.

Strengths

Chris Tawiah is a dominating and intimidating centre, he makes it very difficult for any player to score an easy bucket in the paint. He averaged one block per game last season in Romania too, and any block will lift his team and give them confidence in defence.

On February 2nd 2019, Tawiah set his career high in points in a Austria – Bundesliga game. On that occasion he recorded 23 points in Oberwart’s 75-77 road win against Wien. That day he also recorded 13 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks. He shot 9/13 from the two, shooting at 69.2% from the field. He also shot 5/6 from the free-throw line.

On March 3rd 2019, Christopher Tawiah set his career high in steals in an Austria – Bundesliga game. On that occasion he reached four steals in Oberwart’s 77-76 road loss against Wien-Favoriten. He also recorded 14 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists.

On February 2nd 2019 Tawiah set his career high in efficiency in a Austria – Bundesliga game. That day he accomplished 32 efficiency in Oberwart’s 75-77 road win against Wien. He also had 23 points,13 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Tawiah’s experience is vital too, he’s only 27 yet he has played basketball in seven different countries, and every league has a different typical style of the game so he can take all of those play styles on board which makes him a more complete player then others in the league.

He will be a very good option for the Lions this season be it on the bench or as a starter.
