The London Lions travel west to Bristol as the Flyers host the first game of a crucial play off semi-final at 7:30 pm this evening.

The two sides have already faced off this season in the BBL with the Lions winning two of the three games.

Isaiah Reese will be looking to continue his phenomenal form against the Flyers after the American guard racked up 17 points, seven assists and four rebounds against Bristol earlier this season.

However, the semi-final will be no walk in the park for the London side as Trejon Jacob and Marcus Evans will be keen to repeat their impressive defensive displays they showed in April when the Flyers defeated the Lions by five points.

Battle Of The Brains

When speaking to the media, Lions coach Nick Lowry believes tactics will play a crucial role in the tie.

“We’ve seen so much of each other this season that it will be like a chess game between the two club’s coaching staff,” said Lowry.

“We both know what the other team’s strengths and weaknesses are, and both set of coaches will be looking to do something different.”

Whilst Lowry is confident thanks to their record, he is wary of the return of Flyers’ shooting guard Mike Miller.

“Bristol getting Mike Miller back is a massive boost for them, he brings a lot to them and we’ll definitely need to work on ways to limit him,” he said.

The Lions will be keen to snatch a victory away from home so they can go into the second leg with a handy advantage.
